Hi all it's me again. I would like you all to know that I have just completed my year as Citizen of the year for North Weald and surrounding areas (COTY). It has been one of my greatest achievements of my life to be nominated by so many people for such a great honour. I don't know how I won it or what I had done that was so special but obviously all of you saw something that I didn't. All I was trying to do was get on with my life which thankfully I am. I still have a tremendous amount of help from my Rosemary and my family which has been wonderful. I have one regret and that is in all of that year I was never asked to open a supermarket or cut a ribbon but so be it I have done other things which have been better and more rewarding. I have been adopted by the Dr Walkers C of E primary School and this is very rewarding. This I consider a great honour. I love all the children and the staff and I think they like me. I am also a scribbler as I have been to Scribbles nursery and that was very enjoyable. I also went to the Ongar academy in Fyfield which was another great experience. Schools and children are wonderful and have helped me along. Next month I am giving a talk to the Hornchurch agriculture society on my full experiences  as a London cab driver. I'm supposed to talk for 45 minutes and then devote 30 minutes to questions. I'm sure your thinking like me I could probably talk for longer but I will squeeze it in. That should be fun. All these things have come about because you my online family voted for me as COTY and so I will never forget you or what you have done for me. By the way I'm still available to open anything even if its your front door. Please call me. As you know I have joined two senior Society's the Thornwood Seniors Association and the Northweald Seniorsociety and I must say I thoroughly enjoy both of them. My quiz night keeps me busy and my trips to Tescos are also fun so all in all I've settled down to my new life. Once again thank you to everyone for making me happy and proud to be part of this fantastic village and its wonderful people and long may I enjoy it. God bless you all. STAY SAFE.
