Hi all it's me again. Just returned from a wonderful afternoon with the Thornwood Seniors association at the village hall and must tell you about it. I got there at 12pm and went in with my friends Maureen and Kenneth and sat with our usual crowd of lovely people and then had a beautiful lunch of fish and chips. It was either that or chicken and chips but I fancied fish which was very tasty. After lunch we had a talk on scams and frauds which was very interesting and I guess I've learnt a few things. After the talk we had a raffle. We had bought the tickets when we went in. The organiser came round with the box of tickets and chose Kenneth and me to draw the tickets out. I missed drawing my ticket by one number and then Kenneth drew his ticket out and so it was my turn again. I pulled out the ticket and called out "Oh no" the number is 933 and I had the winning ticket. There were a few shouts of fix but I don't think they meant it. I went up to the table and chose a very large box of Nestles dairy box. I felt guilty for about 3 seconds then sat down very happy. I must say I didn't think I would enjoy these meetings but because of Maureen and Kenneth I'm loving them. I really recommend anyone over 70 to join because you will mix with a lovely bunch of people and have a good time. When I joined I didn't know more than 7 people even though a lot of them knew me from NWVL but now everyone talks to me and I feel like I'm one of them. Thankfully they don't look at me as the bloke on NWVL who keeps posting but as Bryan and that is helping me to get on with my life. A big thank you must go to Iris Smith and the committee for the hard work they all put in to make us happy. My Rosemary would be very proud of what I'm doing and getting on with my life and long may it carry on. God bless you all. STAY SAFE. ROSEMARY and BRYAN xxx
